I just can't understand how these guys actually climb up onto the ginormous ship without being thrown a ladder or something by the crew on board. It seems like tankers and cruise ships could mostly just ignore the pirates because they wouldn't be able to board. It must be 50 or 80 feet or more from sea level to the point of entry over deck right? Ladders don't get that big and if you throw a grappling hook, that sounds easy to defeat by the crew if they just cut the line. And keep in mind they would have to do this while traveling at cruising speed, possibly at "run away" speed on the open ocean with waves and wind and everything else. I don't get it.
